The calm times
I just realized I left you all hanging with a really low post. Sorry about that!!
I am now finished radiation!! 28 rounds done. I doubled up on a few of my treatments so we could head out to Wilcox to see Aidan for a few days. With radiation done, I’m now half way through my treatment. All I have left is ten more Herceptin infusions (that takes me until June) and surgery in January.
It’s absolutely beautiful here. I know, it’s Saskatchewan, and it’s super cold, but the sky is enormous and it’s so bright! It’s trying to snow, but I think it may be too cold. What do I know, I rarely see the stuff. But it’s so light and fluffy compared to the heavy thick stuff we do get when we get it. It really makes me think there’s something to the dreariness factor of the wet coast.
Seeing as we shipped Aidan out on his own in September and all I get from him are one word answers, I managed to get an official tour of the school yesterday. This place is so established, so full of tradition and history – you can just feel it. It certainly cemented for me that we have made the right choice for Aidan.
2015 has been an unexpected year of upheaval for us, but I have certainly learned not to take things for granted. Next up, Rick Lapointe tourney for B, and then Christmas!! I think this year I shall bake a few cookies. Anyone in for a cookie exchange?
